You're right, it's a pretty nasty hook...I have one at home I can take a picture of, but I suspect by the time I do it'll already be up.

Anyway, it doesn't have a twist like Ovechkin's, but it's still a pretty big curve.

What's the "C" on the nameplate?

I believe that is the shape of the shaft. I know CCM used to have the shape of their shafts stamped, one of the options was "C". My best guess.
