I wanted to provide a quick update on the stick. So far I've only used it in three games. shots are coming off the blade hard and accurate. passes are right where they need to be I can feel the puck decently well. I have noticed that there are a few chips in the paint but it looks purely cosmetic. so far I am pretty impressed with the stick and In my opinion it is definitely worth the $90(Close out special price) I paid for it. Now we just have to wait and see if it is worth the $140-ish that it would be to get one at the normal price plus the $35 shipping.

Also I promised a picture of the blade compared to a normal Modano curve. My phone cannot take a picture worth a damn so I will try to still my sister's Ipod which should get me a better quality picture.

$35 shipping? Was that international, or within Canada? If it was just within Canada, that seems pretty high for a hockey stick, no? Normally when ordering gear online from a shop within Canada shipping is around $10 for a stick (anywhere from free to $20, basically).

I don't know if you ever shipped a stick within Canada but from Toronto within Ontario is usually just under $20, then Quebec and the other close provinces are like $23 and BC is like up to $30 :D

Sorry that's how much it was to ship internationally from Toronto to Pittsburgh

Ah cool that makes way more sense.

Never done it personally, put when ordering a stick from a store within Canada it's normally $0-20 for a stick for shipping and handling.

Shipping within Canada is $25 total for about 1-5 sticks. Shipping to the US is $35 total for 1-5 sticks. Shipping is based on weight. The extra $10 is for built in customs brokerage fees. Hope that clears up some questions. Also we have a preferred US rate through Fedex.

You guys should use purolator. They charge around $18 for shipping. It takes only a week to get from canada to the us and I've never gotten hit with brokerage fees

Does it actually get there in two days though? I get sticks ship two day purolator but it takes a week because it's going across the border.

It's usually two days. If its a larger order maybe customs inspects and it could take longer but for the most part two days.

Hey everybody, I just wanted to do a quick update since this thread has been dormant for almost a month. The nano pro is still going strong playing roller hockey 1-2 nights a week. the performance for the stick is flat out awesome for its price. We successfully reunited the ice team so that will add another day of play to use it. Ice should start within the next 2 weeks so after a couple weeks of 3 games a week I will post my review.

Thanks

Hey BlueIceDave,

How does the flex of your sticks change (increase) as you cut them down to the desired height?

I've tried a lot of sticks and I've settled on a Bauer 77 flex Supreme One95 stick cut down quite a bit. Bauers have a very large increase in flex as you cut them down. So for instance, when I cut a Bauer Vapor X60, 87 flex down to my fit my height (5'9") and preference the flex exceeds 100. For my size and weight this is way too stiff for me to use. This seems to be the same equation for either the Bauer Supreme or the Vapor lines. The only solution I've found is the Easton SE-16 stick with a 75 flex. When you cut the SE-16 down the flex doesn't change as dramatically as the Bauers (or other Easton lines) and you end up with something around an 85 flex which is usable.

Is there some sort of scale you publish like whats marked on these other sticks I mentioned?

I'm very interested in picking up a couple of these sticks. I currently use Bauer Supreme/Vapor sticks with a P92 Backstrom curve. Is the P.2 curve exactly like the Backstrom? If not how different.

Regards,

BMac

Hi Bill,

Our sticks will also become stiffer if cut down. I would say add 5 points off every two inches that you cut down. If you were to purchase our Nano at 90 flex and cut it down two inches it will increase to a 95 flex etc. We have our SK-150 intermediate flex at 70 but the shaft might be too small for your hands. Our P2 curve is the one you would be looking for with your above player name comparison.

Thanks,

Dave
