Capitalize_that 0 Report post Posted February 2, 2011 Hey guys i was thinking of getting the Eq50 but im thinking the weights is just a gimmick and a overkill, do they actually help at all or is it for show, and also anyone have the cam curve on it? is it a open toe because im using the Ovechkin curve but i want something a little less on the toe, thanks guys

markstmartin89 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2011 I've gotten yelled at for saying this over and over, but word on the street is the pros dont like the weights in the blade, theres been plenty of pictures of pros using a 2 piece eq50. Last I seen is Chara.
ibeck 38 Report post Posted March 7, 2011 Pretty sure cammy uses something like the p92correctAnd chara is notorious and him and byfuglien might be the only guys that use 2 piece sticks in the NHL. Yes I know most OPS are a blade and shaft fused, but a non fused stick.

Habs21 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2011 I know you guys are talking about the retail version of the cammy curve but I have and use one of his pro stocks...here's the pictures:I absolutely love his curve, I'd love to get my hands on more of his sticks but they're pretty hard to find. Cammy also uses something like an 80 flex, they are unreal
Habs21 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2011 yeah that's exactly it, it's an 80 flex. Took a few games to get used to the curve (more hook than my regular P92's) but man, I think I'll cry when it breaks. I really need to find another one!
HOPE 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2011 It doesnt look to have more hook to me at least on the picture... And i personnaly had 5 se16 and i think the blade is way too blade heavy, i guess thats just preferenceIf you wanna try a nice hook buy a hossa pro stock! Habs21 0 Report post Posted March 7, 2011 Yeah, when I look at the picture, it looks like a regular P92 but trust me, it has way more hook compared to my Sakic and P92 retail curves at home. I heard that Cammy likes to use a regular sakic blade during practices and then a blade with more hook during the games, I think it was a video of him that i saw on the net. Weird but...I'd love to try a Hossa pro stock, saw a few on ebay but always forgot to bid!

They're pretty fairly priced and you can customize the sticks to your liking and you don't have to worry about bidding.
