They've asked me to post this quick 11 question survey. Your response would be greatly appreciated.SurveyA quick follow up as well for the "perfect puck" survey that we posted over a year ago. We got a lot of great feedback from the survey and from the data have developed 2 inline hockey pucks, one for smooth indoor surfaces and one for outdoor surfaces. The indoor puck is finished and we are currently discussing branding options. This puck will be available very soon, likely as soon as this spring. The outdoor puck is still in development and should be ready late 2011/early 2012.I'm dying to post pictures of the pucks for you all to see as they are really spectacular but I'm not authorized to do so just yet. I can assure everyone they will be worth the wait. I know a few members from MSH have seen the samples (some may have seen them with me in Vegas as well). Either way they will be available to buy this Spring via online retailers or a website built for the puck.Proshops/rinks will have the ability to order the pucks this spring. Seems that with all the current pucks out there you can only choose two of these three traits to be solid.Also really enjoyed the questions in the survey concerning wheel changing. We've been working on the pucks for a long time and are excited for the release. I agree about the current options. We recognized several years ago that the inline puck was in need of a tech and performance face lift. The top sellers have been virtually unchanged since the early to mid 90's. Our puck glides far better than the competition and has great durability. We've found that any puck will roll on edge (in ice hockey as well). We put a lot of research and technology in finding ways for the puck to lay flat easier, with less effort. The wait will be over soon. Thanks again to all who took the survey and left comments. It would seem, from the questions, that the focus on the proposed new technology will be either chassis or wheel-changing tech. Possibly a chassis that can be swapped out easier or, more likely, wheels that click or snap into place rather than screw in for an easier wheel change. Only a guess though.As someone whose played mostly roller for the last 15 years or so, I can say I have only needed to change a wheel on the fly a handful of times. I always keep a spare in my bag with the bearings already in, so a wheel change's biggest obstacle is leaving the bench to do the work, but the not the work itself. Maybe I'm way off here though...
