Bauer Vapor Senior Carry Bag

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a new bag that has room for all my gear, skate pockets, an accessories pocket for random stuff like tape, tools, etc and pocket for my laundry and flip flops. And i hate wheel bags.

SO i found this...

http://www.hockeygiant.com/bauvprcrybgsr.html

does anyone have any experience with it?

I've gone through 3 bags in 3 years, getting sick of buying new ones! Want to make sure it's solid!

Thanks!

If you have any outdoor sporting stores nearby see if they have travel duffle bags large enough for your gear. Those will last and last and last.

Warrior eraser bag. Pretty roomy, skate pockets, ect. Still holding up like day 1 a year later. You should definitely look into it.

I have the Nike Bauer version of this I believe. If it's the same thing then it is HUGE. Almost too big. Everything is great about it, except the liner on it crumbles really badly and you get white flakes all over the equipment. That is enough for me to not recommend it, if it is indeed the same bag.

I actually have the wheeled version of this bag and so far it's great. It fits all my gear fine with a lot of room, but I do wear mostly small senior gear.

The side skate pockets are useless on the wheeled bag cause it tips over, but it may also be useless for the regular carry bag. I have size 7 skates and they were kinda a tight fit. That's why I put my skates inside (again, with lots of room to spare) and use the skate pocket for tools and tape.

The bag seems pretty durable...although there's one tiny hole from when the bag flipped on me and I dragged it for a bit.

I have the Buaer Vapor bag in blue, Super roomy with room to spare. Holding up great so far, had it for about 6 months. I like it.

I have this guy:

http://www.icewarehouse.com/descpage.html?pcode=BCHB

Everything fits easily, has two side pockets that are pretty big, skate pockets in the front. Plus it's cheaper than the one you're looking at. The top of the bag is actually a mesh material, so your gear is constantly being aired out. No flakes, I love it.

I've got that bag too. I like it in general, and it's got plenty of room, but the inside of it tore on both sides where the side pockets (not the skate pocket) meet the larger main pocket. I don't even keep anything heavy in those side pockets; tape and a spare jersey on one side, and my old insoles and a water bottle in the other. Kind of disappointing as I've only used the bag once a week for two months.

Edit: The picture of the bag in the IW link changed since the last time I viewed this thread. I guess the newer version has the silver parts to it, as the one I have is all black. Not sure if anything is different other than that (i.e. if the new one is stronger on the parts where mine tore).

Thanks for all the feedback guys

This guy is taking everything that I've got. Had it for a year and a half and still looks brand new.

Where are the skate pockets on this and is it seperated from the rest of the gear? How many accessory pockets are there? And how big are they? Ive heard warrior bags are really tuff.

Need room to fit laundry in one pocket, tape and other stuff in another and seperate skate pocket...if the warrior can do that, i might give it a shot!

Anyone use the RBK 5k?? Thats what i used to have, wanna compare the vapor to that

Skate pockets are (in the picture) on the left side of the bag, where there are zips going across the bag. You can fit a pair or 2 in there easily. There are 3 laundry pockets inside the bag, running along one side of the bag and are 3/4 deep as the wall of the bag. There's an accessories pocket inside the bag opposite the skate pocket side that's pretty much half the depth of the bag. I probably should take some pictures...
