beaucoup_fish 0 Report post Posted November 10, 2004 I just got a pair of V10 shins in 14" and I noticed that they are considerably shorter than my CCM 652s...is this a "varies by manufacturer" thing a la skates and shoes, or is this just poor quality control, either on the part of CCM (my guess) or Nike? Neo5370 132 Report post Posted November 10, 2004 Hmm, that's odd. I don't have an answer to your question, but I would hope company discrepancy would not mean different interpretations of inches. A size measured directly in inches is pretty cut and dried to me.Unless some mftr's start from different points of the kneecap or something <_<
Chadd 916 Report post Posted November 10, 2004 My 15" 852s are nearly the same as the 16" Hespelers I used to have.
jay 1 Report post Posted November 10, 2004 I'd say Nikes definitely run on the smaller side since my 15" shins are even a bit too short for me at 5'10".
thunderbirds_are_go 0 Report post Posted November 11, 2004 I found that when I went from Bauer to Jofa shin pads the Jofa's where longer, though both were 16" pads.
Cavs019 702 Report post Posted November 11, 2004 it all depends on the manufacturer. My 15 inch v12s are a good cm longer than my 15 inch 8040s.
