anotherlin 0 Report post Posted November 15, 2004 So why don't they make skates for the pros in China instead of North America? As beaucoup_fish already said, it's a customization problem. If a player asks a leather palm glove, synthetic instead of PU leather for the body, and its name embroied. It would be more cost efficient and faster to have it done in North America, instead of making it oversea and having it fedexed. Yet I have prostock Mission Flyweights, and the tag says made in china.Micpel, I think your assumption: made in usa or canada = good, made overseas = crap, is wrong. For example, US cars are notorious for being unreliable (and having poor mileage), it's getting better now however. Graf Canada has a pretty bad reputation currently (at least on MSH).The thing is rather, workforces are of equal quality around the world. Mission and other big companies (Nike, Jofa, CCM, North Face, Salomon, K2, etc.) won't have their flagship models manufactured there if it wasn't like that. It's just a profit things. They do the same work but cheaper. And it's all about money. Shareholders always want more money, that's all.

Justin 1933 134 Report post Posted November 15, 2004 Not my skates! I don't think the XX or XXX are made in Thailand...However, you obviously know nothing about manufacturing, so stop make generalized comments...Your opinions on what you like and don't like are important (the basis for this entire site), but uneducated information is not needed...Also, I swear like a sailor, but I have the ability to keep it out of my posts. You should try the same.Justin

CaseyJones_86 0 Report post Posted December 27, 2004 a quick question, with the supple fit, sometimes I feel that my heel isn't always as far back in the pocket as it could be. not that it slips or anything, it just feels like I should be able to kick it back farther. is this a regular thing with supple-fit or do you think it is just an irregular foot shape etc.? That is one thing I don't hear...Usually, people say with supple fit, that they get the best heel lock they have ever had...I would recommend re-heat fiting your skates and lacing them pretty tight.I hope this helps.Justin
