Changing one100 tongues

Recommended Posts

So my one100's have the thick/white felt tongues. I previously had one90's which have the nice thing tongue that I prefer a lot more. Is it possible to switch the tongues on them? there is a .5 size difference in the skates if that matters.

I am also wondering how much it would be to buy those reflex tongues as they seem like they're thin just like the one90 tongues. (How much do lhs usually ask for when doing this for you?)

You can go to your LHS and they might out source the skates some where to have the tongues swapped OR you can go to a shoemaker, they usually have the machine to do it.

A cobbler would be a pretty good idea. They would more than likely charge less than any hockey shop, and the work would be just as good if not better.

I know what you mean. I came off a pair of Easton S15, also with a thin tongue. I gave it some time and the tongue form fit to me and now the One100's fit great. Far more protective as well. If they dont fit you well it's probably more than the tongue thats the issue.

Yes, I had the same problem. I hate those thick felt tongues. I have one100 LE's and I live in MA. My LHS couldn't or I should say didn't want to do anything. Finally, I called Toronto Hockey repair and had them order straight from Bauer a pair of One95 tongues. If you call them ask for Ali. She will know exactly what you are talking about. They did cost about $120 plus shipping and then it cost $30 to have them put in. Definitely a few extra bucks but beats buying new skates.

Hope that helps.

Take care!
