5 Minute Major 1 Report post Posted June 30, 2011 So i decided to try out my new x7.0's last night. 2 things...1st. Got them baked during the day and used them later that night. A couple of people on here had replied that I should've waiting at least 24 hours. The LHS that I had them baked at didn't tell me this. They even asked me if I planned on using them that night. Well, I used them and I was wondering if I definitely messed up the integrity of the skates?2nd. It was definitely a different feel. It seemed like the S17's have a more rockered feel to them. It took me about 2 shifts or so to get the hang of the change but after a couple more I was LOVING them! These are my first pair of Bauers and I love them! I think I found a new favorite skate. IniNew 53 Report post Posted June 30, 2011 The difference in feel come from the pitch of holders/boot. Vapors are quite aggressive, while RB2's are neutral. You will feel more on your toes in Vapors. As far as baking goes, yes you should have waited longer. You need to let the materials inside the boot set; just like epoxy. You might see premature breakdown of the boot now.
Anjin-san 29 Report post Posted June 30, 2011 For what it's worth, the instructions that came with my One100 LE's stated that you had to wait at least one hour after baking. Since Bauer wrote and provided those instructions I wouldn't worry too much.

AIREAYE 248 Report post Posted June 30, 2011 From S17s to X7.0s? I'm guessing the S17s didn't fit right cause those are two completely different fits...
DolomaticDangles 13 Report post Posted June 30, 2011 From S17s to X7.0s? I'm guessing the S17s didn't fit right cause those are two completely different fits...Don't they both have narrow heels, normal forefeet (S17s might be wider) and medium volume? AIREAYE 248 Report post Posted June 30, 2011 Don't they both have narrow heels, normal forefeet (S17s might be wider) and medium volume?I don't remember the specifics off the top of my head, but from my own experience and from dealing with several customers, they do not fit similar. But then again, fit is subjective to the user so perhaps I shouldn't have posted that they were 'completely different fits'

I've noticed that the toe box has more room though.
