Autographed Crosby Jersey Value

Recommended Posts

Any idea what these things go for? Its on a perfect condition Rimouski jersey with his name and number, its authentic as i was there when he signed it. Any idea what i could get for it or what it would be worth? I was also thinking of finding a way to get it certified authentic without sending it away or anything like that

As with any piece of sports memorabilia it is only worth as much as what somebody's willing to pay for it. If you want to get a ball park figure the only way is to do your research and see what similar items have sold for in the past.

Crosby's a popular athlete, I'd beg to differ.

This. It may not be valuable in the realm of serious collectors/enthusiasts, but with some one like Crosby (or Ovechkin, etc etc) you'll always find someone willing to part with a decent amount of money, authenticated or not.

Not so sure I agree with this. If it's not Crosby's actual jersey from Rimouski, why would anyone care if it's signed or not?

IMO there is less and less interest in this stuff every year, especially if it's not from a players personal effects; i.e. stick, jersey, bag, piece of equipment, etc. Look at all the stuff that just sits on ebay month after month after month. The pool of 'collectors' is dwindling. Go to any sports memorabilia show and tell me a.) what you see and b.) what the curators of some of this stuff are telling you about the current market.

I agree with you that the market sucks for this stuff, I'm just saying there are always people who would be willing to shell out some money to be able to hang a Crosby signed jersey on their wall. The pool of people who would may be dwindling, but it still exists.

Yeah, it was never actually used. I met Crosby and he signed it briefy, i never got a picture or anything but i was just curious of what i could ever sell this thing for (complete rough estimate). Theres no doubt its real, I was there and in all likelyhood i probably woudln't sell it but I was just kind of curious, thats why i posted this thread.
