One95 stick longevity

Recommended Posts

I tried to search, but only got some noise since the search keywords were too common so here it goes:

Is there an expected lifespan for a One95 stick before it whips out?

Thanks!

There is no "expected lifespan" on any stick before it whips out. There are a lot of variables such as how hard you are on your stick, if you take a lot of slap shots and technique. I am sure others will chime in as well.

i've gone through three of them, but i'm not too hard on my sticks. all have lasted a while, maybe close to 6 months or more before i could really notice a lack of "pop". like Auditory said, depends on how you use them and your preferances

I have a One95 int shaft and it's lasted me about a year so far. However, I rarely take any slappers other than practice and warm ups though...which tend to be more violent in nature than if I took them in a game situation.

I did notice that after about 7 or 8 months of use it did get a bit easier to flex but, it wasn't too whippy to a point where my shots were off.

"easier to flex" isn't what I was referring to when I was asking for 'whipping out' - it was more of a 'lack of pop' as other poster noted...

understanding there're lots of personal variables it would still appear though that 6-7 months of constant use wears the stick down to a point where it almost turns into a broom. it happened to my 85 flex in less then a year, then I switched to 75 & was dropping absolute bobms with it for a while, but now after about 6 months it just feels dead no matter how hard I try to load it (still doesn't break though)

I used my one95 for a year before it lost its pop. Though i'm only on the ice 2-3 times a week playing beer league. I assume the people that go through them much faster are guys that get more ice time.

Gotta agree that it was a great stick. Not only in terms of shooting performance but the puck feel on that stick was amazing!

This is absolutely the correct answer. Too many variables to have any one answer.
