tron hockey socks?

Recommended Posts

Just a quick question. My beer league team is using a different jersey for an up comming tournament and we need plain black socks. while searching I stumbled across Tron hockey's rbk style socks. With the code on their site we can get these for about $7 a pair. Has anyone used them? I have a few pairs of rbk retail and pro socks and love them. Plus the fact these have two velco tabs on them is a bonus too. Really they only have to last for 4-5 games, but don't want to waste the team's money. any feedback would be great. thanks guys

As with most of Tron's inventory...I'm almost certain they are exactly the same as the RBK Edge or the Easton bio-dri socks. Most likely it's the former and with any luck, Tron has improved upon the quality of the sock.

Great service. If you place an order during hours it will be shipped out at the end of the day. I ordered a bag and they forgot my shoulder strap. I called and the guy had it at my door the next day via usps.

Hockey Tron's service is great. I ordered two pairs of socks and two jerseys, which were shipped out the same day via USPS. For some reason, USPS did not leave the package for me and sent it back to Hockey Tron. I called them to give a heads up, and was told that they would keep an eye out and resend the package with UPS for no charge. When my package arrived at Hockey Tron, I got a call AND an email to give me an update. I received my package the next week, and one of the pairs of socks was the wrong color. I emailed them to let them know it wasn't a big deal, but they are sending me the right pair for no charge. Nothing but good things to say about their service, they've been very very good to me with this.

As far as the socks go, I'll echo what others have said. They're a lot smaller than the retail EDGE socks, especially in length. They fit nice and tight on my shins. About the same, maybe a little tighter than my size L pro stock EDGE socks. The pro EDGE ones have more stretch/give to the material though. I'm pretty happy with them for $9. I'll try them out tonight and see how they feel.

At 5'9" and 225lbs I'm a short chubby fella and I love the way the socks fit. I will echo that they are a little tight around my thighs but since the velcro tabs are pretty long I don't need to work them up my thighs very far in order to reach the Velcro on my jock shorts. For $9 I'm very happy with them.

I bought a pair of these as well. They are pretty light and are a little thinner than RBK Edge or Easton socks. I would say they are just about exactly like Kazamu Flexice socks. I like them a lot. I'll probably buy some more in the future.

I have one pair of their socks that I should be using tonight for the first time. It will be my first time using the newer sock designs. Depending on how I like the sock, I may buy a few of the NHL style socks HockeyTron now has.
