pbhockey4 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2011 My school is a D2 NCAA school and our hockey team is D3. They are decent in their league like good enough to make the playoffs for the last 4 years. I am a average B player. One day one of them asked me to skate with them since they needed a body or 2 to do a pick up game. If I skate with these guys will it make my game better even though once I played with them. They skated circles around me. Is this a good idea even though these guys skate ALOT faster then I ever will.

IniNew 53 Report post Posted September 1, 2011 One skate won't do anything for you. You'll need to consistently play with them to start picking up on the skills involved. The good part about it though, if you do start playing with them you should see increases in all facets of your game.
sickwilly 37 Report post Posted September 1, 2011 Go out there and have some fun. They asked you to join 'em, right? I agree with the others who have stated that it may very well help your game. It'll take a little while, though.
Krev 86 Report post Posted September 1, 2011 You should do it. Playing with college players is always fun. And most of them are mature enough that you won't get beaked at a lot.
zachary 2 Report post Posted September 1, 2011 It may not physically help you after one skate but while you are there study the guys and try to pick up on their tendencies and apply it to your game.
