Bauer Vapor X7.0 Vs Vapor X60

If any of you had your choice would you go for the new Vapor X7.0 or the older version Vapor X60 and why?

Due to the similarities id probably go with X60s for the looks.

Well if you can find X60's in your size, I would say go with them because they are on sale and will be much cheaper.

Aesthetics and pricing aside, the 7.0 has slightly more additional ankle padding. Other then that, they are the same skate (aesthetics aside).

If they kept the same inner liner, I'd stay away from them except if you change skates every year.

i just got a pair of x60's on sale, love em so much (upgraded from x40's)

I could not find older X60 in my size, so I got a good deal on the X7.0. I hate the red stripe that is not a true red and had some auto paint applied over it to make it black, so my skates are now all Grey and black. The new black stripe came out a little shinier then the other black and has a little sheen and looks great. If I figure out how to add pics to post I will put some up.

I love the look of those 7.0 LE's. I was looking for the LE x60's before I picked up my 7.0's. I found a couple but they were 1 size too small.

I wanted to get the x60LEs but waited too damn long and then they were gone. Truth is I like the look of those even more than the 7.0LEs.

so are the pros that want to stick with the x60's going to be using x60's or is someone going to force them to sport 7.0's new (uglier) aesthetics to promote the new line? is it the team's the brand's or the player's choice?

Theyre nearly the same skate how are they lighter, less stiff, or more comfortable?

Effectively the same skate. If you like X:60's the X7.0's will perform exactly the same.

Same weight.

Same fit.

Same liners.

Same external materials.

Same lace bite guard on the tongue.

Same Stiffness.

Differences are:

The tongue has a slightly different edging.

Aesthetics are different (tendon guard, toe cap and overall look are to match APX).
