One piece intergrated pants or two piece?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I'm looking to get some new ice hockey pants and I noticed about half the guys i play with have the two piece style ( padded girdles and then a shell ) pants. I'm just curious what others seem to like and why.

Currently I have a middle of the road one peice intergrated warrior pant, but I was thinking that the two piece will give me better rage of motion with my legs. The one piece just seems a little big and bulky.

Thoughts........

I like pants because I hate screwing around with buttons, snaps, zippers, and velcro. Tackla 9000's which are heavy duty. Don't feel "bulky" on the ice and great mobility. They look big but I don't care.

I've used one and two-piece pants, and haven't noticed a mobility problem -- due to the pants, that is. I've never tried a girdle and shell. I like the protection of pants.

I've had both. I used the old CCM Supras back in the day. I recently switched to a girdle and shell combo. I like the mobility and feel of girdles. I'd try them both on and see what feels best for yourself.

I'm way more comfortable in a girdle. The Vapor X60 almost feels like you're not wearing anything.THe only protection it lacks is on the inside of the leg- there is none!

I love my Reebok 11k pants. Kind of like a semi-girdle and one piece pant combo. Just have to strap the theigh pads every time you put them on. They are not the lightest pant, but for the amount of protection they offer, they are unbelievably flexible and comfortable and the weight is not noticable at all when using playing.

I dont have this problem, it depends on how you wear them.
