Reebok 9K issues

So over the last 4 months I have been using a Reebok 9K sickick III. The stick has been great in terms of durability, and the curve is great (Datsyuk). The paint chips horribly, which has been surprising me due to the fact that its a grip stick. Whole areas of the paint are coming of (letters, shield logo) large chunks. I only play in a mens league a few times a week, nothing crazy. And the flex feels insanely stiff for an 85. It makes me think I would have to bump up to the 11K and get a lower flex. It feels dead at times, and I don't feel the pop when I shoot.

Are these things normal in the Reebok sticks? Are they normally stiff? What stick would be a good comparison from other brands? I don't like to spend more then $200 for a stick but this 9K just has not been impressing me.

The dead feel is normal for Reebok sticks in my experience... I have not tried the new line of sticks though

According to a lot of members, they play stiffer than rated. I haven't used a Reebok shaft in awhile so I can't recall with certainty. However, this thread was started the other day and a couple posts mentioning it:

Yeah Reebok's Sickkick sticks feel stiffer than normal. Probably due to the low kickpoint.

Flaking is normal.
