True.,.but it will never end...so if you can get a French kid AND Win....why not? At least Louis Leblanc was deserving of his high pick status....he wasn't purely a French pick.

I still remember that day he was drafted, I was in the building working for the NHL and crowd ERUPTED when the habs selected Louis.

Louis is awesome, talented guy, well deserved of his pick, the french is an added plus, but he's shown flashes of brilliance in his mishandling this year. I hope the new GM and Coach handle him correctly, let him develop. When MaxPac said to management that he felt he needed one full year in the minors before he went into the league he meant it and then got called up because he was doing so well down there and now look at him.

Perfect example.

I'm happy withe the choice! He was part of the rebuild in Chicago on many levels over 7 years...He's coming into a very similar situation in Montreal. Lots of youth to work with. If the Gomez buy out is happening....frees up Cap space. Get Carey and PK signed. Decide on the other RFA's.....the Draft. Oh yeah....Coach!!!!
