tonguesOUT4life 17 Report post Posted January 5, 2012 ive had my x60's for a long time now since they first came out.. but they are not giving me any issues excpt i have to tie them super tight to get the stiffness in the ankles. i didnt even have one hot spot in theese skates since i first got them they fit like a dream. the only problem is i have to wear two pairs of socks to get that "snug" feel to them as my foot fills in the whole skate. is this a volume issue? the skates are a 7.5 ee i wish i could have a 7 ee but the smaller size width isnt wide enough for my foot. so im thinking to go the custom route for the apx and get a 7 with a eee on them..i just love snug skates and seem skate better in them.. are the apx skates totally modable like the total ones? should i just try to have some work done on my recent skates to make them a little stiffer or is it time for new skates? Monty22 835 Report post Posted January 5, 2012 Sounds like you need to find a LHS that will fit you properly. From what you are saying, the width and length are incorrect.
Chadd 916 Report post Posted January 5, 2012 If you need two pair of socks to fill the boot, your foot is not filing the whole width. If you have width issues with the smaller size, you should probably be in a different boot.
Vet88 674 Report post Posted January 6, 2012 Good advice from both previous posters. The fact that you can go down 1/2 a size for length means you are in the wrong boot. Get the length right then worry about your width, any decent skate shop can perform wonders with a stretch machine on a good top end boot. There isn't that much difference in width over a 1/2 size that a stretch would not fix.
