Skate size will I be the same

Recommended Posts

Quick question if I'm a size 7EE in mission and Bauer's would this mean I'm the same in reeboks,CCMs and GRAF's?

Reason for my asking is I can't try these other 3 brands on and am looking to buy some. the bauers are not deep enough for me I find and my laces bulge outwards towards the top of my ankle.

I've been told reebok or CCM would be a better choice.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Each skate will fit different, and even each line of skate within each company will fit differently from each other (eg Bauer vapors and bauer supreme have different fits.) As to your specific foot, I can't help you, sorry. I would advise ordering from ice warehouse if you have to go online, since they have a free skate return policy if it doesn't fit.

I know they fit differently but I'm trying to gather as much info as possible as I don't have the option of trying them on.... Did you actually read my post? Ice Warehouse do have a free skate return policy but when I'm in Australia spending an extra $180 on shipping there and back. I would prefer to avoid this.

So I will try be more specific.

EE width in Bauer or Easton would it be safe to Assume CCM and REEBOK E is there comparison to EE?

Depth of Skates Out of the two which are Deeper REEBOK or CCM.

Please try to understand the situation I'm in.

I gather you understand it's a crapshoot, without trying them on. Your Bauer reference is no help without mentioning which Bauers, as they have different fits in different lines.

I say if you want a deeper boot, stay with bauer, and go with the supreme line 7E, as changing the brand without trying them on has to lead to some trial & error...and if you're not willing to take the risk...

Was thinking buying a really low end reebok like $130 trying it on for fit then sending it back if fits well then getting a better pair sound like a good plan?

I'm almost a full size different in mission and Bauer. I also don't wear the same size as either one in CCM or RBK.

I'm a EE in bauer, but a D in CCM. For Reebok, E doesn't fit well for me either.

I've found that CCMs fit the best, and might be the more forgiving skate.

That is a terrible plan. If all this research is to avoid your $180 in shipping costs, how would buying a cheaper pair help at all?

right now Im in a mission 120ag size 8EE .

I tried on some skates and the vapor5.0 7EE and U+10 in a 7.5 D were the two fits ive liked best ( though neither were perfect like my AG's ) , but Im not done looking. so to answer your question Id say no , a ccm E will not be comparabile to a vapor EE , but for "your" foot it might work. Like wrangler said , its gonna be a crap shoot.

I'm a 9d in vapor x40, 9.5D in a u+pro and a 9D in the supreme line... 11d in old missions, 10r in eastons, 9.5r in grafs...

You could have mentioned that you were in Australia to begin with. No where does your first post indicate you can't ship them back as conveniently.

I do suggest Reebok, have been a good choice for many.

For sake of reference, lacked depth in Bauer Skates Supreme and Vapor Size 6

Reebok and CCM had depth I needed but am Size 5.5 in both skates with my foot fitting better in the CCM U 12 than my goalie RBK 6k (a lil tighter in the toe box).

Reebok and CCM also tend to fit a little wider from what I have heard. Hope this helps you.
