So after years of use I broke my Polar Fibre Dolomite Shaft today. I cried, obviously, but now it begs the question is there any stick out there with a similar grip?

Not really. I see Polar Fibre shafts pop up on Ebay from time to time, but you may have to switch to another grip and see if you can acclimate. Either that or do a search on here to find out if anyone has replicated such grip with a spray or anything.

Base can do a shark skin finish. Is that similar?

My dad has an Ultra Graphite with shark skin. It doesn't offer much grip though.

If it is the same as what is on their blades, similar idea, but not quite the same.

Warriors velvet/matte grip might be worth a try

No, but the stuff I linked to should be gritty as compared to the rubber-ish texture of plasti-dip.

If Base's sharkskin blade coating is what they'd put on the shaft, you'd ruin your glove palms in 30 minutes or less.

It's super coarse, extremely rough, and nothing similar to PolarFibre.

I recall Easton having a composite shaft back in '96/'97 that I recall being called SharkSkin Composite, which had "shark skin technology" DarkStar50 might still have the catalog.

Got one in my garage. Good shaft until the painted logos started flaking off. Oddly enough, I liked the coating so much I bought an Innovative PolarFiber shaft.
