CCM U+ Crazy Strong Shaft - Flex Rating

Does anybody have any experience with this shaft? I was checking it out at my LHS and it felt good, but it seemed like the 85 flex (Regular) shafts were a little stiffer than other companies.

I use a 100 flex easton stick normally, but I don't like anything stiffer than that. Do CCM shafts play stiffer than other companies sticks of similar flex? Based on feel in the store, I would probably go with an 85, but its hard to tell with a shaft without a blade in it.

I have the OPS version that I've used off and on. It's a RH 85flex. Compared to my CL+ 85-flex, Bauer X:40 87-flex and X:50 in 87-flex (all cut to same length) I'd say it may feel a tad stiffer. To be honest, when I'm playing I can't tell a real difference between the CS+ and CL+ in flex. I'd say both CCM sticks feel a bit stiffer then the X:40 and X:50 I've owned in the 87-flex. Just what I've noticed. I'd be curious to see if anyone else agrees/disagrees with that.

Yeah, I agree, the 85 flex OPS CCM CS felt a lot stiffer than different sticks I've used in the same flex.

In my opinion, both CCM and Reebok's sticks are generally much stiffer than other companies offerings at any given flex.

For those who have used this shaft and an 11k. How does the kick point compare? I am planning on buying the CS and am wondering if the kick point is similar.

Reebok is definately stiffer than anything out there for the same rating. Ccm not so sure, my cs is fairly whippy, but i used it long time also so it is a bit soft.

Thought I'd chime as I'm a two piece guy. I just got a CCM Crazy Strong shaft. It plays much stiffer than my Easton SE 16 shaft (but it's softened up). I don't think it's as stiff as Warrior though.

One thing to note the shaft length on the 100, 85, and 75 flex are all different, and in no particular order. The 100 is the longest, and the 85 is a bit shorter than the 75. I went with an 85, didn't cut it and I say it plays around that. Maybe a tad stiffer but it may soften.

Is the CS a low kick or a mid kick shaft?
