walkerdb7 20 Report post Posted April 21, 2012 I was excited to go pick up the Bonafide X yesterday... I was expecting a Franchise clone made in China. The glove reminded me of a 4 roll Luxe hybrid. It was very tight on my hand and was all rounded. Not really a traditional 4 Roll. I tried on the 14" and 15" and they both felt really small.Anyone else have experience or thoughts on this? walkerdb7 20 Report post Posted April 21, 2012 I only have experience with stock Franchise models. I think I would get a 14". The 14" Franchise seems bigger than a 15" Bonafide X.

walkerdb7 20 Report post Posted April 21, 2012 Total Hockey has them in the retail stores. Anyone else tried them on?
lib310 0 Report post Posted April 21, 2012 Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the lower level Warrior 4-roll gloves fit like a narrow Franchise? That would be why they feel smaller than the Franchise
walkerdb7 20 Report post Posted April 21, 2012 Are Franchise narrows custom only?
lib310 0 Report post Posted April 22, 2012 Are Franchise narrows custom only?I've seen some in my LHS from time to time, just a matter of getting lucky
walkerdb7 20 Report post Posted April 23, 2012 Sounds like the Bonafide follows the Franchise Narrow fit. That's disapointing. Waited a few months thinking Warrior had made my dream gloves available at retail. Guess it is either settling or going custom at this point.
wrangler 157 Report post Posted February 22, 2013 I finally broke down and tried my Bonafide X gloves today at open hockey. I won them at the SJ raffle; thanks again to Warrior. I've been using the PPF+, and thought I liked them, but it turns out that I like the fit of this 14" Bonafide X better. It's tighter, maybe like a Vapor. I'm not the greatest on comparisions because I don't go through a lot of equipment. I tried the 15" TotalOne at SJ, liked it fine, but this X just seems to suit me. Flexible, comfortable, and did the job.

mickz 107 Report post Posted February 24, 2013 I find the Bonafide to be a tight fitting glove (which I like) but it feels too restrictive when you are opening and closing your hands. It may be a 4-roll style glove but the feel is much different than the Franchise; it's closer to the Luxe if anything.

I'm beginning to think I don't like gloves as roomy as I thought I did. I find the Bonafide to be a tight fitting glove (which I like) but it feels too restrictive when you are opening and closing your hands. It may be a 4-roll style glove but the feel is much different than the Franchise; it's closer to the Luxe if anything. For my hands, the X was very comfortable, not tight, and my hands opened and closed easily, like a broken-in glove. I don't know the differences, if any, in palm, fit, etc., between the Bonafide and the Bonafide X.
