My Other Car Is A DeLorean 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2012 Ive been wearing an older pair of Easton ice pants, but the problem is that my shin guard flaps at the top get caught with the pants. Even with socks on, the flaps stick out over the pants and I keep having to adjust them. I cant tell if this means my pants are too small or too big?I'm about 5'9 with a 32 waist. My Easton pants are a senior xtra-small (28"-30")
wrangler 157 Report post Posted April 29, 2012 Sounds like the pants are too short to wear with that type shin guard.
My Other Car Is A DeLorean 0 Report post Posted April 29, 2012 These are the shin guards I wear. Notice that top flap with the "EPS" logo on it, that is what gets caught with my pants
Scopes 4 Report post Posted April 29, 2012 You can cut off the flaps if they really bother you. It sounds like they are too small though.
Monty22 833 Report post Posted April 29, 2012 or you could tape the flap down.
AfftonDad 88 Report post Posted April 29, 2012 I had a kid on my son's team that had this problem. His shins were too big (long). It could be a little of both shins too long and pants too short. If you currently flop your tongues try wearing your shins on the outside of your tongues (they will probably sit around 1/2 to 1 inch lower) and see if that helps any. Tighter socks can help a little too.

Chadd 916 Report post Posted April 29, 2012 I always fit kid for pants so the kidney protectors came close to the bottom of the shoulder pads and the bottom of the leg came to the middle of the knee when standing. It sure sounds like your pants are too short for you.

My Other Car Is A DeLorean 0 Report post Posted May 10, 2012 Just an update:I bought new Reebok pants, size Senior Small and just tried them tonight. WOW!...... huge difference. No shin guard flaps overlapping, and my skating and balance is a lot better. Amazing how a size change can make a big difference. Thank you all for your opinions.
