Amiroo39 121 Report post Posted June 20, 2012 this stick did horribly...so many better sticks on the market, id take an s19 or an se16 over an eq50 n e day

sharks25 9 Report post Posted June 21, 2012 I dislike the RS. I disliked the eq more. The weights gage it a funny noise and it felt too heavy to be a top end stick. Combined with the fact that it was pretty much a heavier se16, it seemed dumb. I would take an se16 over it any day. Kicked the same, if not better, and didn't weigh as much as an ST. Chadd 916 Report post Posted June 21, 2012 I didn't like the EQ I tried. I though the performance was lacking and the balance wan't comfortable to me.

SnipinBardiz 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2012 I noticed that the newer pro stock and retail stealths go soft in the blade and break in the blade. Its just how the sticks are designed they are made and designed for pros there for dont last as long because as everyone knows pros go through sticks like nothing. AIREAYE 248 Report post Posted June 21, 2012 No stick is designed to go soft in the blade... Do you honestly think any professional player (heck, ANY player) wants a stick made for them to go soft intentionally?
nisselrm 22 Report post Posted June 21, 2012 Danny Briere uses an incredibly soft blade.
AIREAYE 248 Report post Posted June 21, 2012 Go soft meaning delaminate, crack internally, foam breakdown etc.
Chadd 916 Report post Posted June 21, 2012 No stick is designed to go soft in the blade... Do you honestly think any professional player (heck, ANY player) wants a stick made for them to go soft intentionally?I know a number of pros that would crack the blades on wood sticks to make them more whippy.I noticed that the newer pro stock and retail stealths go soft in the blade and break in the blade. Often, they have to compromise one way or the other.

I liked it, but was it was no where near as good as some of the other sticks i've used (TO, s19, RS, se16, widows, dolos). And I didn't say the stick is horrible, I said it did horribly, as in sales etc. And regarding the soft blades, I had no idea there were benefits to a softer blade, u can def see how wippy it is when Briere gets his shots up so quick...the things u learn on here

Jrbears10 3 Report post Posted June 21, 2012 I had an SE16 that was starting to go, and I picked up an EQ50 when they went on sale as I wanted something similar. I wouldn't say that the two sticks feel exactly the same, but it's pretty damn close in my opinion. Sure, the weight gimmick was unnecessary, but personally I can't tell that much of a difference performance wise. I also prefer it over the S19 I also had becuase of the better puck feel of the EQ. It all comes down to personal preference in the end.
