What would you want

What topics would be important to you in a magazine??

Considering THN has the NHL covered, what would you deem worthy to pay a couple/few bucks??

For this scenario, consider it to cover both ice/roller as needed

In addition does any of the following interest you

-Items from various countries around the globe

-Peeks inside many of the big company's

-Retailer spotlights -

...I'd pay good money for a "College Hockey" magazine.

Have you checked out USCHO? It's a print magazine as well as online. Also, Hockey Magazine East just recently came out and it covers HOckey East as well as the ECAC and the EJHL. It's a lot like USAJHM, but only comes out once a month and focuses on college instead of juniors.

Many articles featuring players and what they went through coming up through the ranks (juniors, college, etc.). Things we would never know about them (hardships, obstacles they have overcome to get where they are). Player equipment reviews - Not just ads but why they prefer one piece of equipment over another (feel, power, protection, customization).

Women in bikinis playing hockey, bikinis are optional. Seriously, real interviews and not the fluff pieces that run today and real commentary that offers solutions instead of just complaining.

Absolutely. Especially the bikinis. Also, one of the best parts of THN is the short little interview they have with the player on the last few pages. The players are giving genuine responses.

how bout what women in bikini's went through to make it as a bikini model??

Agree on people complaining, can't stand it...

I don't think you'll see one person's true reviews of product though...a slippery slope with advertiseres..

yeah i think the most important thing ina magazine would be the reviews, and previews on new products coming out. bikini models wouldnt be a bad idea either.

All of the above, plus:

(i) a section for coaches, with drills etc.

(ii) comparisons of different techniques. E.g. when Alfredson lost to Nash in the 1-on-1 agility puck carrying relay at the last All-Star skills competition, Alfredson used pure glide turns while Nash used "Gretzky" turns (skidding the inside foot).

(iii) a section highlighting special plays used by certain teams.

I like the thing in THN on the last page or so, that has the short interview with a certain player, those are always good. I liked last years draft preview that THN did, with their predictions for the top 60 picks, that was really cool too. I would like to see a CHL magazine, that covers all the teams in the Q, O, and Dub.
