So...looks like my guess was correct. We were looking for a date to do this. Boxing Day was our first choice. After talking to a friend, he said that we should do it earlier than that. Then I had read an article in which former NYR GM Neil Smith said that he had heard the 15th might be the day everything is decided. Looks like he's right...

Yeah it was on the local news(Detroit) last night. It was a segment on buying presents, and they said you could buy the shirts for the hockey lover. There was one that said all I want for christmas is the hockey season back or something like that, and another that said Knock Out The Lockout.

The whole point was to spread awareness, try to get a season going, etc. And it seems it really spread in some sections.

He just took the slogan. It wasn't copyrighted, nothing we can do.

I had one guy take the idea and change the date. Oh well - he only has 8 members on his message board so I'm not worried.
