Reebok 20k SICKICK Stick

Recommended Posts

Have played with it twice now, very balanced, good feel for the puck and its got a good pop. The blade however is very hard, so it takes a little bit to adjust to it, coming from a Widow. What do you guys think?

Not in reference to the blade stiffness, but how is the flex compared to other sticks? I had heard the 11k was typically stiffer than other sticks at the same rating.

You heard right. I had two 11k's 75 flex, both of them cut a mere inch, felt like 95 flex. Id like to hear also how the stiffness plays on the 20k, i might pick up one or two, and hopefully it is as durable as the 11k.

I got an 85 flex, definitely stiffer than an 85 from Warrior and Easton, feels more like 95. Puck feels great too, but i think my Ai9 had a better feel. Specs: 85flex, Hedman, Grip, Lie 40.

Looks like a pretty sweet twig so far, but I felt that it was a few inches too short in the senior version with skates on, and that I'd need to add a plug right away.

Has anyone seen/have a pic of the new Bergeron curve? The PP46? I want to see an actual shot of it to get an idea of what its like.

</p>I can try to get a picture tomorrow but it's basically just a really deep p88. Nothing too special

I see you use the Warrior Widow. how does it compare to the reebok sickick's? You prefer one over the other?

Its hard to say, but nothing plays like the widow, just a unique twig. But i think the 20k has better feel for the puck and better durability, as far as shots go, I think i still prefer my widow, they shoot differently. I also got an 85flex, and cut about 2 inches so it feels like a warrior 100flex..

Anything like the CCM Landeskog?

To me the Landeskog looks a lot like a p14. I would say that in terms of depth they are similar but the Bergeron is more of a mid curve and a little more closed where as the Landeskog is more of a toe curve.

Went to my LHS yesterday and checked out a 20K while I was waiting for skates to get sharpened. Obviously I can not comment on the actual performance, but just by holding it the twig is very light and well balanced. The shaft I find is a tiny bit thicker than what I currently use (an APX) but it felt pretty good. Good lookin' stick too. Would consider giving this a go in the future.

I've played with mine for two games. The only previous Reebok stick that I liked was the 8k shaft, but I'm liking this one so far. I got the Dual Grip and have also liked the way that works.

Gr8, how is the dual grip different than a normal grip? Was lookin at the non grip version at the LHS.

There's grip on the top half of the shaft (top meaning "toe up") and no grip on the bottom have (heel down). Basically you can slide your hand up and down but once you lock you hand down to take a shot, the grip takes hold. Hard to describe, but it actually works for me. I am not a grip stick guy, but this I like.

Well i am not sure why this stick doesnt get much attention but i got to try a 75 flex and and 85 flex.

The 20k is definately softer than my 11k. The 85 20k felt like an 75 11k. The blade has incredible feel and pop, some might not like the feel because it is very crisp and not a soft feel like the TO lets say. I cannot speak for durability, but a teammate has it long enough and it is very good so far, me when i had my 11k it was the most durable stick i have ever used, hands down, so hopefully they passed on the materials on the 20k.

The only thing I did not like, or get used to since it was a first for me, its the dual grip. I had the chance to try only the dual grip and it felt kinda weird.

I think i am gonna go for an 85 flex even if tho i will need to cut it 2-3 inches, because the flex increases only 3 points for every 2 inches or so, not like the 10 points per 2 inches like some sites claim.

Oh I forgot about this.

The Landeskog is nothing like a P14. And the Landeskog is a P46 Bergeron clone, not sure why major retailers and even Reebok web site do not list the new curves.
