Used Skate Guide: Tour Models by Year

Recommended Posts

Hi all. Like many of you I am constantly picking up different models of Tour skates to find that perfect fit. And I often get skates off of eBay and Craigslist if they are unused or lightly worn. But because so many models are put out each year, I often don't know what model year or build quality I am looking at when considering buying an older model skate. This seems to be complicated even more by Tour's lack of clear model years for each skate model. So I was hoping that with everyone's experience here we could put together a guide to past years' models so that people could make better decisions when buying used skates. Under each year below I hope to list the models put out by Tour from the most expensive to the least expensive. Once we get it all filled out it can be a reference for those of us looking to buy used skates. Please post what you know and I will update it until it is complete. If this works out we can do it for the other brands as well.

Rule of thumb is that all Tour skates are about 1 size larger than your show size. So if you wear a size 10 shoe you will need a size 9 Tour skate. If you don't like your toe right up against the toe box and prefer a little more room, add another half size.

Skates are listed from most to least expensive.

2003 was the G series

G90- Labeda Sensor Frame

G80- Labeda Senor Frame

G70- Aluminum Hi-Lo frame

Some of the 2003 G Series skates actually came with the 'Redline' chassis which was a 72-72-80-80 Hi-Lo frame.

I had a pair of G-80s with the Redline frame.

TR 962 – Redline

TR 902 - Turbo Bi-Level

Man this was when Tour skates were good! I had both the 962's and the Fishbones, man I loved the 962's!!!

2003 was the G series

G90- Labeda Sensor Frame

G80- Labeda Senor Frame

G70- Aluminum Hi-Lo frame

This lineup was garbage IMO......

Hey guys,

I have a pair of Code Red skates but I've lost the axles to them. Could anyone tell me what size I would need as a replacement. I believe they are a size 10.

Thanks

I gave you the link to IW, they have them for pretty cheap. Hit the specs tab to find your exact model
