cost to install tongues

went to my local store to inquire about new tongues. not only did he already have a set of nash tongues in stock but they also install. However, they charge 50$ for install on top of 70 for the tongues themselves. This seems steep to me just wondering what other people have paid.

I saw that but am not just Im up to it on a pair of skates I payed $700+. The lhs owner showed me his work on another pair and it was quality. Just trying to get an idea of what others paid.

70 bucks is pretty much retail price for the tongues. 50 bucks for the install doesn't seem ALL that high considering the work involved.

I'd agree with the above statement. Installing new tongues is no easy task and keep in mind, he also has to remove the old ones. Add that to the fact that the equipment needed isn't at all cheap and $120 for new tongues installed is a very fair price.

thats what I paid to put graf tongues on my one80s. one shop woudldn't even do it cause it was too difficult and the result wouldn't be aesthetically good.
