im finnally getting around to using the second pair of x60' i had made and i had these made with the felt tongues..found out today they are nothing like my grafs tongues i have on my old x60's.there seems to be something on the inside of them that is hard like as rock that is giving me a ton of discomfert..does antone know if i can remove whats inside of them?

If it's anything like the CRAP tongue on the X 7.0 I feel for ya...

That looks like the Supreme felt tongue. They are really nice and thick but that hard piece in the middle can be a deal breaker for some. The plastic is much more heavy duty than what is in the 7.0 tongue and I would have to guess getting it out would be nearly impossible without unstitch the whole top layer.

Yeah the tongue on the X7.0's are really terrible. I have a permanent bone irritation on the inside ankle of one foot from that stupid thing rubbing. I would suggest possibly going with a tongue from a different manufacturer.

I have permanent nerve damage on the top of my instep from that piece of plastic in the tongue of my special order One 95's. I finally removed it and eventually had the tongues replaced. I think the plastic insert has caused the same injury to everyone who used it.

Do the X7.0 have the same tongue as the APX's?

The tongues in the X60's pictured look like the Bobby Clarke felt tongues, but maybe not as thick - hard to tell... I'm basing this opinion mostly from the stitching on the front of this tongue.

Yes, there's a piece of stiffener, gel, maybe PE plastic or leather on the inside of these tongues between the two layers (I've never pulled one apart, so someone else might be able to offer a little more insight here).

I wouldn't pull the tongue apart. Maybe look at replacing it with a Graf tongue if that's what you prefer.

n3gkiwi: No the tongues on the x7.0 are different than the tongues on the APX. Somewhat the same concept/feel, but can't classify them as the "same".

nash tongues are on the way..i tell u what though that is one well made stock tongue

I have used these and graf tongues with no problem. Sounds like a volume issue imo
