Holiday to Florida & Toronto

Recommended Posts

Hi

I am taking a holiday at the June to Florida for a week and then I am going to Toronto for a week. Hoping some people here would be able to recommend good hockey stores to go to that sell Ice hockey & roller hockey gear?

Thanks

Side not if anyone knows any good lacrosse shops that's would be helpful as well.

There are links to several other threads in the second thread that discuss Toronto Hockey stores.

Just Hockey (the Don Mills location is bigger than the Steeles location), Majer Hockey and Duke's Source for Sports are all good options for smaller stores with a good selection and knowledgeable staff. If you need fitting help then one of these places is likely your best bet.

A Sport Chek with a Hockey Experts inside of it can provide some good deals if you can get your hands on a Team Assist coupon for 20% off any one product including sale items (I'm waiting for mine to come in the mail...you can PM me when you're in town and I'll give you a coupon if you think you're going to hit up a Sport Chek and are in my area or near somewhere I'm going to be). I know the Leaside Sport Chek near me has a decent selection of high end gear - I also know they opened a new flagship store near Eglinton subway station (I haven't been there yet).

I think that Pro Hockey Life in Vaughan Mills or Mississauga has the biggest ice hockey selection, but neither location is technically in Toronto - for stores in the city Just Hockey probably does have the best selection of high end gear as oldtrainerguy mentioned.

If you don't need the latest models and just want cheap equipment then you may want to head out to the Pickering National Sports as they have a big clearance section there - I believe they have some roller hockey equipment there as well (one of the only places I've seen roller pants in the past few years other than at roller hockey rinks). You can also get $10 off any purchase of $25 or more with this coupon there: http://www.nationalsports.com/edge/coupon/Edge_EBlast_Thank_You_$10_2013.pdf

The roller league I play in has a very small pro shop with some roller equipment - http://eciha.pointstreaksites.com/view/eciha/location-2. You'll only be able to buy equipment while someone from the league is there - your best bet for that is between 7:50pm and 10pm on Wednesday nights or 2pm and 6pm on Sunday afternoons.

Where in Florida will you be?

Two stores in the Ft. Myers/Naples area.

A couple in Orlando area.

The Tampa and Miami areas are going to yield the most in terms of number of stores.
