Mako Pro Stock v Retail

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Im looking at getting last years mako stock in approx 75-85 flex which is both available on both the pro stock and retail.

My question is what is the real difference between the 2? Pro stock is $20 more but I don't know the difference.

Can somebody please tell me if there is a difference at all besides one been pro stock with obviously no warranty which isnt an issue since returns are hard.

Thanks

Unless you can actually pick up the pro stock Mako and go over it, it's impossible to tell what it'll be like. Pros can add various number of tweaks to their sticks that are available at retail level. Hell, it may not even be a Mako at all.

Its fairly easy to send sticks back to Easton. Also, it seems odd that pro stock would be more expensive. I would almost always go with retail over pro stock if both options are available. Atleast you know what you're getting and almost always durability on retail >pro stock.

The current obsession with pro stock gear makes it possible for them to charge more for pro stock product.

Exactly. I had made a recommendation to Easton a while ago that they had to stop unloading prostocks on the market for cheap. Why woukld anyone buy a retail product when they could get a cheap prostock. From a business standpoint, glad to see prices are inflated.
