Oakley AFR spray on a Bauer/Itech vissor

Recommended Posts

So I used elite's anti fog on my oakley visor and it was completely ruined and took off the protective layer and made it foggy. I picked up a new bauer one at the store today because it was cheeper and my LHS told me to get Oakley's AFR spray they were out of the bauer spray. The guy at the store said that the AFR spray is safe on a bauer because it has no ammonium. Is this true I don't want to ruin another vissor? Anyone know if this is safe?

Guys have used my AFR on Bauer visors with no problems. The Oakley visor is designed to absorb liquid and expel out the bottom, that is why using other products will produce the spider web/crystallization effect on the Oakley.

I have the Oakley Visor. I went to buy some Oakley spray at my LHS but they were out. I was told to mix dandruff shampoo and water and it would basically be the same thing. I don't want to spread bad information. Maybe someone can confirm this.

I've used dish washing soap on my Oakley in the past with good results.

A guy I play with came in one night with a spray can of "Yamalube". He was going around spraying everyone's visor and cleaning them. It worked like a charm on my bauer concept 2...I dont know why and I'm not necessarily recommending it carte blanc, but it worked great for mine. From doing a google search, I think it was Yamalube spray polish...
