Major Dilemma

This is quite perplexing. I have a int. xn10 cut ops (with 8inch plug), and it's starting to feel stiffer than when I got it (as a cut ops). Before it felt like butter, and now it's starting to feel closer to 80 instead of the original 60-something flex when I opened the package. This isn't an isolated incident. When I still had my R2XN10 it got slightly stiffer as well.

So basically, my question(s) are:

1) Are sticks supposed to get stiffer?

2) If they do, what are some of the causes?

3) Do temperature affect the stiffness of the sticks? I'm asking this because I leave my sticks by the front door. As you can imagine, the temperature of the area fluctuates quite a lot.

4) Is it just an XN10 thing?

You're crazy. Seriously, I've never had a hockey stick get any stiffer. In fact, most of mine get pretty whippy before they finally snap or I decide to move on.

yeah, pretty much the only thing that'll stiffen a stick up is cutting it.

I swear I'm not crazy. It DOES get stiffer! It's harder to flex.

edi: does it get stiffer with lack of use? 'cuz I prefer my wood sticks over my composite stuff

maybe you are getting use to the stick and you don't remember what a 80 flex feel like.

Where are you putting your stick at in your house? Put them out in cold weather and they won't get stiff.

wouldn't the cold make them stiffer, since they'd be somewhat frozen?

What brend and flex did you use before you got you xn10? It is possible that maybe you are used to the stick and it doesn't feel whippy because your used it.
