Need help finding low flex shaft

Recommended Posts

I'm fun sized adult (5"8 135lbs) and I play with 58" stick. The problem is that I like to take snapshots and would prefer a shaft that I can actually bend without problems.

I got a basehockey hossa curve blades from my friend since he didnt like them and I'm really in love with the curve. The problem is to find a proper shaft for tapered blades.

Is it possible that i would buy for example Warrior OPS 55flex stick and cut the blade of and add the base blade to it? Or any other ideas? The lowest flex shafts that i can find are 70flex and even those are like 100flex cut to my size and it feels like playing with a crowbar.

This is spectacular as I'm exactly the same height and weight as you. I'm currently using either a 60 flex INT stick or a 52 flex JR stick (Bauer Nexus 1000) depending on the game. The Junior shaft isn't much of a bother and his holding up pretty well despite the wear and tear a game will put it through - haven't broken a single one yet. I'm not too sure in regards to the curve you want, but if you're willing to ditch the curve in your shaft/blade combo and go for a close-enough-curve on an OPS you might be quite happy.

I would love to use the hossa curve if there is just any way doing that with a proper shaft.

syinx, does the jr sticks have a standard size blade? I have always thought that the JR blades are smaller than INT / SR

ps. is there any way to correct my typing error at the topic...

I live in Finland and it´s quite difficult to get shafts from base hockey delivered.. But does anyone have idea is it possible to cut OPS and fit a tapered blade to it? Is there any hope doing that

Yes you can always cut a stick and turn it into a shaft. look for sticks that are fused. Kind of a waste though. I would suggest maybe looking for close out models for a better price.

I know for one the Bauer junior sticks seem to have the same size blades. My P88 Bauer is the smame size in JR and INT.

Harrow makes a 60 flex tapered intermediate shaft. Fischer has a 60 flex intermediate OPS that is listed at 58" in length. Graf Canada makes a 55 flex (whip) intermediate flex, I don't know if that is distributed in Europe or not.
