Gloves are too big or too small

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I quit hockey three years ago, and I'm starting again in high school. I went to my local hockey store and tried on some gloves. I decided on 12" gloves, but decided to search for some deals online. I ended up getting Bauer Vapor x 3.0's, but they were way too small, so I got some 13" reebok four rolls. They aren't enormous, but it's very loose and my fingers have a about 3cm between them and the tips of the glove. Any advice?

Try on a lot of gloves. Each manu and glove has subtle differences in the fit and length that you will likely find one that fits well. I find my Bauer 13s fit a little tighter than my reebok 13s so that seems consistent with your experience

Also your comparing a glove with a tapered fit to a 4 roll style loose glove

I am definitely a tweener on the 13-14 glove size and loved the old Easton 13.5 size. I've found better luck with 14s lately though on the Supreme side, it's worked well enough for me.

well you are also going from a loose 4 roll to a tapered fit so the tapered will feel more snug. Ive used tapered 14" gloves all my life except this last time i went with warrior 4 rolls and their 13" fits me perfect.

The RBK 4 rolls are loose fitting gloves. Get something that is form fitting in 13'' and short fingers (supreme), I dont know of any 12.5'' gloves out there. Forget CCM and any 4 roll brand. Older Easton (RS1 and S19) are very form fitting also.
