MeltingPlastic 8 Report post Posted March 25, 2014 Okay so call me nastalgic, old school whatever, i still wear my Eagle X50s. They've been repalmed 2 or 3 times and I'm at the point where they are getting to be beyond repair. I'm search for new gloves but nothing I've tried on at proshops feel like these at all (I like a wide wrist area with low cuffs for wrist movement) The closest thing I've seen that appears to look like the X50s is the X905s or the X844s, but no proshops near me sell Eagles anymore so I can't try them on to tell if I like them. Does anyone have any suggestions for replacements that I wont be disappointed in?

Neo5370 132 Report post Posted March 25, 2014 Would eagle make a new pair for him, custom?
bunnyman666 445 Report post Posted March 25, 2014 Actually, Eagle makes discontinued gloves all the time. Email Gus (go to the Eagle Hockey web site) and he'll get you sorted. Eagle made me a pair of Goat x844. To answer your question- the x844 are nice and loose in the wrists. Eagle are going to add Tortorella shot block pads to my x844 gloves.Just got an email from Gus: "We will make them as long as we have the tooling. Some of the materialshave changed over the years so we nmay not be able to replicate exactly."There you go.

A2rhino 63 Report post Posted March 26, 2014 These are a classic and collector’s item. Gone the way of the dodo unfortunately. They no long have the material to make these. But if they did I would be all about them. On another note You may still be able to get this style of glove. I believe it was the X70.http://www.modsquadhockey.com/forums/index.php/topic/24103-eagle-limited-edition-gloves/BTW; Sorry, I didnt mean to hijack the thread,

If i remember they have a longer cuff than my X50s but will more than likely hold me over until I'm able to check out some newer eagles in person. I'm going to be stopping by Hockey Monkey in NJ next weekend after a tattoo appointment in the next town over and see what they have.

MeltingPlastic 8 Report post Posted March 27, 2014 So I just purchased a pair of X70s from a member on here. They should hold me over until I decide what I want to do with new gloves. I'm still going to visit hockey monkey next weekend to see if I can try on some of the new eagles there and then decide. This will probably hold me over for the summer though
