Help with mlx fitting & sizing please

Recommended Posts

As the title says I need help with mlx skate for type of fitting & sizing( not the custom boot just regular).my foot fits well in the last of ccm tacks & just wondering from guys that are using them or have had them if they have a similar internal profile. Also I fit really well in a 9d of the tack vintage which is listed at 27.7cm,according to the listing size for mlx the size 8 is listed at 27.5 & the size 9 at 28.1, would I squeeze into the 8 or would I be better off & go for the 9 with a bit of room to play? My thanks in advance for the replies & advise.

Uhhhh. MLX isn't made anymore. Easton bought them a couple years ago and is now on their second iteration of the Easton version of the MLX. Look up the Mako II.

with MLX you don't really want too much "room to play" because what feels tight and uncomfortable before baking becomes like a glove after baking. I never wore CCMs but wore size 6 Bauer Vapor 8 before I switched to MLX where the size 6 was beyond perfect after baking. it took 1 period to break them in. I'd been trying to break in a pair of Vapor XXXX for months.

I will say though, when I measured my foot and went by MLX's chart I ordered a size 5 which ended up being too small. MLX ended up exchanging them AND payed for shipping both ways.
