Si-core blades splitting apart

Recommended Posts

I have a frined who has ahd two intemidiate si-cores slit right at the end of the blade. Is this a normality with si-cores or is this just a coincidence. there were no signs of breakage it looked just like the two side that are glued or whatever together split apart. Also where he bought them said that they were not manufacture defects and that they couldn't do anything about it.

Not only are they doing that,But the hockey team I am a trainer for,I've had two guys using Si-core related stuff,One was a blade, the other a Synergy. When both of them broke in the blades, and were past warranty. I cut the blades off to make shafts for themand then I took appart the blades.Neither of them had the silicon strip in them. Nice to see Easton making a product like that, people paying for something there not getting. I told the one kid he paid $85 (can) for a si-core blade for nothing. I showed him why,Cause I have a couple strips from broken si-cores from last year. He wasn't impressed. Oh well. Thats why I prefer Mission anyway.Better products, and way better customer service.

I hate mine, the blade goes dead in about 3months with 4-5 times a week of hockey(full checking)

Mine went out in 1 month with about 8-10 times a week. Sorta sucks.

How many ice times should a stick last in your opinion? Seems like 40-50 is a pretty decent number to me. I'd be happy to get that out of a stick.

I know what you're saying Chadd, but I'm only 13 and I'm 140 pounds. Like, how hard could I be on my stick being that lightweight. I guess I'm getting hacked a lot and stuff, but I was hoping for a little longer than 2 months, just like my old Synergy did.

I never get any stick to last 2 months, even if I'm only on the ice 2-3 times a week.

I'm also not trying to be sarcastic, I'm just curious to see what peole consider to be good durability with their sticks. I have a feeling others might be curious as well.

I've had my sicore zcarb since the start of my season in early September and I have been playing 2 to 4 times a week. The blade has some chips out of it but it is still as stiff as the day I bought it.
