I also find the flatter curve makes it easier to pull pucks off the boards, especially on the backhand. As a RH playing LD, it's easier to keep pucks in and make plays at the point.

I prefer a flatter face for slap shots from the point, than a curved face. My preference, mat not be yours.

Most defensemen prefer a flatter curve, makes it easier to make plays on forehand and backhand and makes it easier to keep shots low on from the point.

Cool. I hardly play defense so I never thought of a different curve for when I'm back there.
