Matching Team Uniforms

Hey guys, I've been a long time roller hockey player, and I want to make the jump to ice. I know a few guys who play on a team and they've been asking me to join. The league gives out matching jerseys each season, so team colors are always changing. I was thinking of showing some NYR pride and getting some Rangers colored pants/socks/gloves but don't wanna hear the chirps game after game. I was just curious if a lot of people do this, or just stick with Black/White gear and "blend in." Thanks.

Some guys will chirp no matter what you wear. Get used to guys that think chirping in a beer league is somehow helping the team.

I play in a similar league.

Get the gloves and socks you like.

Wear black pants and blend in so you're not too "matchy-matchy".

Yea I used to try to match everything to my team but gave up. Wasn't worth the effort or money.

Now it's just black gloves/helmet/pants because that's what most people have.

Heck, I decided I technically match the team wearing black more than I would wearing the "correct" colors for the jersey.

Red pants is probably a bit much since you dont have them from a previus team. Rangers colorway gloves would be fine. Plenty of players have colored gloves. As for socks get the set that to mathe your jersey set.

Depends on what your teammates do. If they all have socks to match your jersey, then by all means, play along. Don't be the one dude with red socks when everyone has green on.

If the league is less formal and you see yellow, white, black, red, blue, green, teal, and maroon all on the same bench, buy red socks and rock 'em.
