fetuslasvegas 1 Report post Posted November 25, 2014 Does anyone know where I can find unwaxed ½" width skate laces. Online preferably. I don't want the Elite brand ones, they are just a wide sleeve over a lace.

mc88 160 Report post Posted November 26, 2014 The closest thing you're going to find to ½inch unwaxed will be these at 7/16 inch: http://www.icewarehouse.com/descpage.html?pcode=ARREFLColor: Solid white7/16" wideUnwaxedMolded tips to prevent breakage and frayingSold in pairsMost websites don't disclose the width of the laces, so it's a guessing game. Or... if you absolutely need ½inch you can fire off some emails/calls to these guys:http://howieshockeytape.com/store/hockey-skate-laces/cloth-hockey-skate-laces/White-cloth-hockey-skate-laces(Howies)http://textilemanufacturingcompany.com/non-waxed-hockey-skate-laces/(TexStyle)

demmer12 5 Report post Posted August 15, 2015 I'm also looking to try other laces. I used some waxed ones for awhile. I liked that they stayed tight, but they quickly became deformed in that they wouldn't stay flat. I've tried the Elite ProLace Hockey Skate Laces Unwaxed (which measure 3/8"), but I'm finding that they loosen up quite a bit by the 3rd period of a 1 hour 20 minute men's league game.Does anyone have experience with the Elite ProSeries Premium Wide Hockey Skate Laces Unwaxed (1/2") or the Bauer Supreme ones (1/2")? IPv6Freely 2096 Report post Posted August 15, 2015 The elite premium wide laces are what I use now. Absolutely love them. They hold as well as waxed laces without the waxy fingers ;)
stick9 896 Report post Posted August 26, 2015 The elite premium wide laces are what I use now. Absolutely love them. They hold as well as waxed laces without the waxy fingers ;)I recently switched to these as it was my only choice. I wasn't expecting to like them, but they are really good laces. Nice and wide and they hold better than other unwaxed laces I've used.
