Nexus 1000 vs Reebok Ribcor

Recommended Posts

Just want to know which stick you guys think is better for me. I take mainly wrist shots, I have a really long release to be honest and take some slap shots, but the better part of my game is passing.

I'm currently using a Nexus 1000 and love it. My wrister is fine with it, but snaps and slappers are rockets. Rockets by my standards anyway :)

Between those two, definitely the Ribcor. Wayyyy more pop, much better balanced, stiffer puck feel, good release, good control. The 1000's just a little too soft/unbalanced/slow for me.

For whatever's out there that's just been released:

Suggestion would be the CCM Tacks. Probably one of my favorite sticks from this year. Got a very consistent blade/puck feel, consistent shots, very well balanced. Highly durable.

Honorable mentions would be CCM RBZ Superfast and Bauer Nexus 8000. Superfast plays like a wood stick, but with very lively puck feel, good pop, and good zing on the puck after release. 8000 plays like a wood too, but slightly more forgiving blade/puck feel.

Have you seen my friend? He's kinda short, kinda tall. He's also pretty thin, but he's fat too.

The toe on my Nexus 1000 started to go after one year. One year! So I was in the market for another stick. I ended buying another Nexus 1000. That is the highest compliment I can give a stick. Me buying the same stick twice in a row. Nuff said.

One year? Holy crap?! What do u play? Once a quarter?

I break sticks every 2 months if I'm lucky. One year is solid bro

I've had my N1Ks for like 6 months. Had some chipping on the shaft but still are going strong, no complaints. Going from a T1NXG i still prefer the puck feel for stick handling on them but it's hard to find the spec i like on sale and not in Grip model. Was checking out the MX3 the other day at TH but cant justify paying $270 for a damn hockey stick. They keep increasing the price $10 every year like nobody is going to notice. Inflation isnt that fast!

Love my 1000, i pretty much only take wristers and maybe the odd snap shot and my wristers are as hard as Ive probably ever had with any stick except for maybe my one95. The durability is great too! I'm getting close to the one year mark with playing two to three times a week and no sign of it failing on me anytime soon
