Halflife2 I guess....BTW, has anyone purchased a game in the past 2 months and has one of those subscription cards for 2 mths of xbox live? Im getting it for xmas, and wanna try it out so I know what to do...If someone has one of these cards, PLEASE pm me! Gordan Freeman was a scientist in a lab conducting experiments with portals and the experiments went wrong. All of these extraplanar beings came through and started to take over. At the end of HL1 the man in the suit (sorry I'm just going off the top of my head, and don't know the names or too many of the details) comes to contact Freeman and he goes to "sleep" until the next time the man needs him. Enter HL2 when Gordan is on a train going into the city which is controlled by the beings from the portal. Gordan saves the day again, takes out the bad guy again, and again at the end of the story Gordan is put to "sleep" by the same man, toi be awoken later when he is needed. Now there are dozens of theories as to what is going on, wheter Gordan knows if he is a interdimensional assassin or not. Also all of the things about the higher powers and Gordan being auctioned to the highest bidder is completely out in the open and up for speculation. sherwood21 0 Report post Posted December 23, 2004 I remember playing it on my laptop on a road trip last year, and the only thing that I remember is when the Scientist is in the very bottom of the lab, and the tanks explode. asdfa 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2004 half life one goes something like thisblack mesa (the first lab) is a top secret military facility, where scientists conduct experiments about teleportation and what not. gordon gets invited to participate in an experiment, but it goes wrong, creating a bunch of portals that bring aliens to the black mesa facility. since the experiments are underground, gordon must try to get out and that's the first phase of the story, he fights aliens for pretty much most of it. when he's nearly above ground, he starts running into marines and government assassins that are attempting to cover up the experiment gone wrong, and gordon has to make his way through them. on the surface, gordon sees that the problem is going out of control, with alien "grunts" taking control and weird alien things popping up everywhere, and basically, decides to take out the problem at its source, so he goes around, zaps some aliens, gets teleported to an alien planet, zaps more aliens, finds a big floating head with a tiny body attached, which is basically the controller, and kills it. then, the G-man gives gordon a choice, either to join him or to "face the consequences". if you don't join G man, you get shown a bunch of shots of huge armies of aliens.i remember seeing a video where someone beat half life 1 in 45 minutes, you might want to check it out if you need filling in Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
