Winnipeg can't support an NHL team. The Coyotes are losing less money in Phoenix than they would be losing as the Jets.

Having spent alot of time in Winnipeg I don't think that is the case. It sure was but know the city is dieing for hockey. Aswell suprisingly the city is growing in population.

Winnipeg has somewhat of a new arena and the fan base for the Moose is good. Who wouldnt want to come watch a higher level of hockey?

They'd need a newer Arena. The current facility isn't what the NHL expects.

That building only seats 15k, it would be the smallest building in the NHL by a decent margin.

A full building..is still a full building though. What if they raised ticket prices so they make the amount that 'whatever team' makes in 'whatever arena'.

a sellout of 15k would put them in the bottom 25% of teams before the lockout. The likelyhood of a city of 700k people having the number of large businesses to purchase the luxury suites is slim as well.
