CCM 30k Ribcor vs. True A4.5

I will state the obvious here, in that one is a mid kick, the other a low kick, so there will be some personal preference and performance differences there.

I haven't used one, so maybe it is a low kick. I just looked more into their catalog, and this smart flex tech is not on the 4.5, so maybe I am confusing terms here. someone else can answer better than me on this. I will note that the 25k was a nice twig, imagine the 30k will be one too =)

Thanks Stewie. I didn't look at the catalog. I am just a little reluctant to buy something I'm not too familiar with. I've only heard good from a select few but not sure on long term use.

well from the description in the catalog, and from picking it up in the store, it seems well built and a good value. Personally I just didn't like the shaft shape and grip, but these are all preference things. As a note though, I too have heard only good about the true sticks.

I can't speak for the CCM but the True 4.5 is a terrific stick for the money.

Shot at a goalie practice w the 4.5 I picked up recently. Very nice kick on wrist shots, pretty light for the price. Usually play with prostock reeboks (SV painted as ribcore) but didnt feel I lost any velocity. Blade is a bit softer though.

The A4.5 is a lower kick, the A6.0 and A5.2 are the mid kicks that have the "smartflex" profile, which the A4.5 doesn't have http://www.true-hockey.com/products/hockey-sticks/true-a4.5
