2015 Catalogs

Recommended Posts

Wow...just keeping an eye out for 2015 Catalogs and am surprised not to see more.

I have both skaters and a goalie in my family, so equipment porn is a big deal in trying to determine what is worth holding out for until those product gets launched and are available retail.

I was really dissapointed to not see any Warrior Goalie product information (via catalog) anywhere in 2014 (even on their website). My Daughter has liked the Warrior stuff at goalie demo days (in 2013) but we where not ready to update her equipment at the time and the Ritual lines have changed since.

I see a 2015 Bauer Catalog, but the Goalie info is not included, noticing that the Reactor line appears to be getting an update...hard to beleive its been 2 years.

I did see Vaughn has their 2015 Catalog on their website...So we always have that.

As a goalie parent I've noticed Goalie equipment typically has a limited window of oppurtunity to buy what is new via retail. Once the season starts, it starts to dissapearing and by christmas, it can get really hard to find stuff.

Looking forward to more info... Although the regular season is approaching an end, we always have spring and summer programs we need to be ready for.

We get to post them when we get the green light from the mfrs to do so, and we would usually like to get more background info from the mfrs on the newest products and changes so when you guys have questions, we can answer them properly and correctly

Ah that makes sense. I was wondering why it had been so long since the Warrior one had been posted. I'm at the point where I need to replace a lot of my gear so wanted to see if this would be the year to get what's coming out, or just find some stuff from the past year.

I am aware of getting the green light by the OEM's and would prefer them to actually launch product that is in their catalogs. I play shafts and blades and Reebok did not launch the updated shafts listed in last years catalog...so I understand it.

I tried to highlight points of items that seem screwy...The bauer catalog index lists goalie gear in it. and Warrior... My boy loves their stuff...everything he has gotten he is a convert to their products...But the lack of info coupled with product drying up at retail one starts to wonder...I also understand OEM's really want to limit how much product gets produced (thinking of Taylor Made in Golf). My Daughter really liked the Warrior stuff at Demo days,,,even though they where not on our radar for brands at that time.

My kids might just be at the most popular sizes for people upgrading and hence product is very limited with availability.

We have the Bauer Goalie part, it's all one catalog, we just split it up for smaller file size, and for those that are only interested in those sections.

You have to remember that goalie is a very small market and stores don't want to bring in a lot of stuff that they will get stuck with. A guy I know just brings in the bare essentials and prefers to order based on customer requests when it comes to goalie. Goalie is a lot harder to blow-out than player gear.

Chippa - I understand and agree with you...Which is all the more reason why one wants as advanced info as possible. The other big problem with goalie stuff is the color combinations...that really makes selling tough IMHO. We prefer White/Black or White/White over White/Black/Silver. I don't know many people who say...I want Silver...so I guess I'll take the black accent as well...Heck White/White with Silver/Gray logos look better than White/Black/Silver IMHO.

2 colors avoid the issue of having the wrong 3rd color in a set.

Maybe this is why some shop full custom with goalie stuff...But you still have to figure out which brand you want and if you want to sell a new design, you better get that out to the people before they go with old faithful as their replacements.

While they can't yet release the goalie part of the catalog, Bauer confirmed the new Reactor 9000 chest and skates to be coming out early April. So hopefully we'll see the catalog soon :)
