shoot_the_goalie 282 Report post Posted June 3, 2015 When do people usually replace their runners from a visual standpoint? How much steel remaining?
Monty22 835 Report post Posted June 3, 2015 When you notice performance issues(bottoming out in turns, etc). Normally your skate sharpener will tell you when it's close to time as there will be issues mounting it on the holder when it gets low.

So would it be a decent rule of thumb to say that if I have a small amount of steel exposed when I'm mounting to the sharpening holder, that would be the time to change runners?
