Who has ordered through mybauer? Is it worth it?

So with the two new sticks coming out soon ish I've considered going mybauer with the order, it's the same price and allows me to customize the stick to perfect specs but the web site says 5-7 weeks for delivery. Does it really take that long? Is it worth it for someone who uses a curve readily available in stores, flex that's available in stores or more so for the people who want to get a curve that isn't at the LHS like a P89 for example. Other than sweet graphics and your name on the stick etc is it worth it? I wonder if these sticks are made at the same place pro stock sticks are made

They are most likely made by the same folks who make the retail sticks. In my opinion, it is a waste of the extra money for shipping and the wait time if you're getting a retail curve and flex. If you're like me and the curve that you want is only available thru MyBauer then maybe it is worth it. I've done it a few times when I wanted to treat myself to a Bauer stick. The wait can vary depending on the volume of orders. I've had it take as few as 3 1/2 weeks from order to delivery.

Having personally ordered two APX2's on my bauer (both at same time) i can say that it honestly isn't really worth it. Mine took 8 weeks to come in, and just to get your name on it and the different graphics just wasn't worth the wait.

Also note that the sticks are still made in china, so you're not gaining anything in terms of build quality.

Given that I've pretty much committed to the P88 after extensive experimentation the need for a curve that isn't an option at retail isn't really there unless I'm missing out on something big with the P89 or whatever. I'm currently using a 102 with an inch extension but wood plugs don't bother me.

I've placed a few orders thru MyBauer. I have found the P89 curve to be the best curve for my game. I've tried other curves but nothing compares to the P89. I also have become comfortable with a 82 flex Bauer Vapor stick (I was able to try the new Nexus N1 and this stick may make me stray from the Vapor line). I also love the tactile finish over anything else I have tried short of Polar Fibre. These options are not available at retail so using MyBauer is a must. It's a neat feature being able to change the graphics color and adding your name if you wish however for me it's getting exactly what I want to use each time I order. I'm not hard on sticks at all playing oldtimers so the extra cost is sufferable.

I'm in Vapor 1X sticks now, what did you think of the Nexus 1N? I've used the 1000 and 8000 and switched back to Vapor because its easy loading and has a nice touch but if the 1N is something special I might make a switch in a month when they come out.
