Custom Glove Complaints

Recommended Posts

Finally recieved my gloves (page 23)...

- Not as protective as my MaxQs

- Not as light as my MaxQs

- Not as comfortable as my MaxQs

- No Trigger Finger

Not that they are bad gloves, but just doesn't seem as good as my good ol' Sandes. Though need to try them on ice before I can give my final judgement..

(Yeah, and thanks JR for selling these... Nice contact card you have. Never even thought to get ones while upkeeping CoreBeam..)

EDIT: And are made in Philippines :( Hopefully Sande gets their custom program up and running again...

You are worse than a chick! You complain like a bi*ch!

Tell me this...

If the gloves are so bad, why were there so many guys in the NHL wearing them last season?

Who cares if they are made in the Philippines! Many other gloves are made outside of Canada and are fine. As a matter of fact, not many gloves other than Eagle, some Easton Pro models, and the barnburner Sande, are made in Canada.

Well, my rant is over. Stop being such a cry baby about everything. I can see why your BB ate a d*ck!

My point here is that this guy has bitched about his gloves not getting done fast enough and look now, bithcing more! JR won't order gloves for anyone, MAINLY because of this guy. Does it ever stop?

Didn't say they are bad gloves, just don't offer the same quality as MaxQs did. For example finger protection is much better in my Sandes.

EDIT: And I'm not bitching to JR... only to TPS. Even thanked JR for selling these gloves.

Delays happen, let me play you a song on a violin. Vapor had the longest wait out of anyone and he's still giddy about Eagles.

Exactly the point I was trying to make.

By the way Vapor, how are your Eagle's?

This is exactly why I stopped doing this.

The way this all started was because my TPS rep handled the pro side as well as retail and could get the gloves through. However, speaking with another TPS rep, he went ahead and gave me the direct hookup and I didn't have to go through my rep anymore.

I never had any problems with gloves taking too long, but around September, TPS let go a few people, including my contact for the gloves. Therefore, you would expect production to be a little slow. But the fact of the matter is that they ran out of gold binding for the gloves in question and it took a little longer. Bitch at TPS all you want, but don't ask me to compensate you for the delay.

I also realized that I had made my shop a LOT of money off of my work on MSH, and it was very unfair that I have provided them with a market that they never anticipated having, and not compensating me in the process (yes, there's a difference). This is why I have ceased all sales through my store - because it does not benefit me in any way.

Oh man, please don't tell me someone was wanting to be comped for their wait. Customs take some time and the price wasn't equal to the effort that was put into them, so I took it in stride.

It never hurts to ask. Even though I consider JR as my friend, he still sold those things to me so it's rightful to ask. I asked for a socks and I don't think they were too much to ask.

But I really do understand why JR doesn't sell things through anymore... I wouldn't... or actually I did, but thankfully I don't have to do it anymore! Thanks to you!

I could understand if they screwed up your order, but there was an inventory issue that held yours up and that's something out of anyone's control. I don't know, maybe decency is just overlooked.
